Transportation to the Hotel:
- The conference hotel provides a complementary shuttle to/from the airport. The shuttle runs every day from 6:30am to 10:00pm. In order to access the shuttle, please follow these steps:
- Go to baggage claim
- Pick up your baggage first
- Go to the courtesy phone in the baggage claim area and push #13 on the courtesy phone board. It will ring directly the hotel.
- The front desk agent will give the attendee instructions from there.
Observe that the hotel shuttle is not allowed to park in the airport area, thus it is imperative that attendees collect their luggage before contacting the hotel

Traveling by Air
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
is the main gateways into the Valley by air. Phoenix is serviced by 20
airlines, including nonstop international flights from British Airways,
Aero Mexico and Air Canada. For brochures on current flight information

British Airways flies between London and Phoenix.
All major US airlines (American, United, Delta, US Air, Continental, etc.)
that fly internationally fly
directly between Phoenix and their US hubs.
Other
international flights exisit between Phoenix and cities in Mexico, Canada
and Costa Rica.
US
Airways (America West airlines
of Tempe acquired US Airways in 2005 and the merged airline is now called
US Airways) has its headquarter in Tempe, and has a hub in Phoenix. At
present most of its international flights to Europe are through Philadelphia.
Southwest
Airlines, famous for its low fares
and on-board cuisine (of peanuts), has one of its major operation from
Phoenix, flying directly between most of its locations and Phoenix.
Public Transportations
Public transportation from nearby hotels
to the conference venue (4400 South Rural Road) can be planned using the
Valley
metro trip planner site.
If one is staying close (say 2 kms from the conference venue) but not within
walking distance, then an alternative to renting a car is to rent
a bicycle at a location close to
the conference venue. Most nearby hotels also have courtsey shuttle service
which can drop people at the conference venue. (Please doublecheck.)
The conference venue (downtown Tempe) is one
of the most
vibrant area of Phoenix metro.
But if one is willing to stay in other parts of Phoenix metro, then one
may consider staying in one of the fine resorts that dot the Phoenix area.
