Submission Procedures

Technical papers

We solicit submissions of technical papers presenting relevant contributions to research, development, and practice in all areas of assistive technologies and universal accessibility. All technical papers will be peer-reviewed and only submissions presenting significant scientific advances will be accepted. All accepted papers will be presented at the ASSETS 2006 conference.

Submissions are limited in length to 8 pages and will appear in the formal Conference Proceedings. Arrangements are in progress to forward a selected set of the best technical papers presented at the conference for publication in a special issue of the journal "Disability and Rehabilitation: Assistive Technologies".

Posters and demonstrations

The Conference will also offer a session dedicated to poster presentations and demonstrations of research products and tools. Posters and demonstration proposals (i.e. extended abstracts) are limited in length to 2 pages. Extended abstracts will be reviewed, and accepted extended abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings.

Doctoral Consortium and Student Research Competition

Submissions to the Doctoral Consortium and the Student Research Competition are limited in length to 2 pages.

All papers should be prepared according to the ACM conference format. Papers should be formatted for letter paper size (8.5" by 11").
